...celebrating 75 years of the famous Streif downhill run
Hauser family and "die SEER"
Folksy and exuberant: As is tradition on the Friday before the Hahnenkamm Race, we celebrated our legendary Weißwurstparty together with 2,500 friends of the house, regulars, skiing legends, numerous celebrities and the Austrian band "Die SEER" who sing in the local dialect...With the outcry "Weiß Wurscht is!" (‘cause it doesn’t matter) and the ringing of the more than 400-year old Stanglwirt-bell, Stanglwirt host Balthasar Hauser proclaimed the 24th Weißwurstparty open at 20:00 sharp. In celebration of 75 years of the famous Streif downhill run, landlords Balthasar and Magdalena Hauser led the official opening ceremony together with skiing legends Franz Klammer, Karl Schranz, Bernhard Russi, Fritz Strobl and Kristian Ghedina. For the popular act of "Anzuzeln" (sausage guzzling), Andreas Gabalier and Niki Lauda also honoured us with their presence. In charge of providing sustenance were once more Alfons Schuhbeck and Weißwurst high priest Toni Holnburger. Andreas Gabalier and Sophia Thomalla pitched in when it came to handing out a total of 8,000 champagne and chilli Weisswursts, Verona Pooth and Larissa Marolt had no objections taking selfies with innumerable fans. Met with particular acclaim was the performance of Austria's currently most popular band singing in the local dialect: "Die SEER". With their catchy tunes and harmonic blend of schlager, rock and pop, hits such as "Wild`s Wossa", "Juche" and "Hoamatgfühl" brought the Lipizzaner riding hall to boiling point. With the dress code ‘Tracht’ (traditional costume) and both Tyrolean and Bavarian culinary treats, the 24th Weisswurst party lived up to its title once again as the ‘Most Rustic Hut High Jinks in Kitzbühel’.

That hearty sound and that hut feeling it wasn't just the Austrian cult band SEER who made for a merry atmosphere: the legendary party band Troglauer Buam with their "Heavy Volxmusic" also got the guests really fired up. The evening was hosted by schlager star Marc Pircher, who delighted us with a medley of his best country hits.
