The biggest Winter polo tournament in the world in Kitzbühel

The world famous sports city of Kitzbühel will become a showground for the international polo scene for the 9th time in the new year. In the battle for the Valartis Bank Snow Arena Polo World Cup from 13 to 16 January 2011, polo horses will gallop across the snow-topped Münichauer Wiese at top speed in teams of 3. This sophisticated snow show at the foot of the unique Winter backdrop of the Kitzbüheler Horn and Wilder Kaiser offers access to this exclusive Winter sport for everyone: entry to the polo ground is free. An attractive supporting programme, culinary delights and international treats make this Winter sports experience in the legendary city of Kitzbühel simply perfect.

International polo teams
It only happens in Kitzbühel: a total of 8 teams will compete in the 9th Valartis Bank Snow Arena Polo World Cup, making this the biggest snow polo tournament in the world. Teams from Valartis Bank, AUDI, Tom Tailor, Nespresso, Parmigiani, Champagne Lanson, Wintertechnik and A-Rosa/VIP-Traveller will be battling it out for goals. Players will travel from 5 nations, including Argentina, bringing a total of 96 horses to Kitzbühel with them. They include some of the best players in the world as well as actor Heino Ferch and his wife Marie Jeanette, in attendance for the 7th time.
