Kitzbühel Alps - the best hiking adventure with “guaranteed gratification”
2500 kilometres of hiking trails are accessible in the Kitzbühel Alps and the holiday regions of Brixental, Hohe Salve and St. Johann in Tirol. Between the Wilder Kaiser in the north and the Hohe Tauern National Park in the south, there are all sorts of hiking routes to discover, from leisurely to strenuous and from horizontal to vertical. In between times, alpine lodges, where tasty food typical of the region is served, invite you in to take a rest.
25 themed hikes, with interesting sights, await you. In ten mountain adventure worlds children get to feel their way in their natural surroundings – some while barefoot and on the rocks; including Lake Filzalmsee in Hochbrixen, on the Hohe Salve near Hopfgarten and in Alpinolino near Westendorf. Get to the alpine flower garden at the Kitzbüheler Horn via the altitude road or the Horn cable car; or take the Harschbichl cable car to the Hornpark climbing forest. "Moor and More" adventure world on the Wilder Kaiser is also ideal for families. The Kaiserbachtal nature conservation area, the Schleier Waterfall and the Eifersbacher Waterfall, Griesbach Gorge and the Teufelsgasse rock labyrinth are among the best ‘grown-up’ hiking destinations. Deerstalking with a hunter is also a unique experience.
