The most exciting programme of children’s events in our Kitzbüheler Alpen
Water rats walk! * Summiteers and climbers * Family experience on the farm
”Are we there yet?” A holiday in the mountains can be really monotonous for children. Not so in the Kitzbüheler Alpen - in the world-renown holiday region adventures, and fun and games are to the fore on the daily programme of children’s events. Little water rats, climbers and treasure seekers are looked after and get to investigate the mountainscape their way, leaving parents a bit of time for themselves.
Water rats walk!
Shoes off, roll up your trousers and get into the cool water! In the Grießbach gorge near Erpfendorf in the Kitzbüheler Alpen on Fridays from 9.30 a.m. to 4 p.m. everything revolves around the “thundering water”. With buckets, scoops and water hoses the water rats build little dams and bridges, their skill is put to the test by setting up a big water wheel. Exciting experiments such as identifying little aquatic creatures and the pH of the spring water quench the great thirst for knowledge of these up and coming researchers. An exciting water bomb fight on hot summer days provides a chance to cool off. The path home goes via an idyllic fairy-tale trail.
Summiteers and climbers
Children want to go up high and prefer to climb every tree. “Steep up, close to the summit“ that’s the cry of every little summiteer in the Kitzbüheler Alpen on the indoor climbing area in Hopfgarten. Equipped with rope, belt and helmet and in the safe hands of professional guides they learn with enthusiasm how to climb a small mountain. This gives the little ones key experience –along with balance and body feeling, climbing also teaches working as part of a team and a sense of responsibility. Children also acquire basic knowledge of knots, safety and climbing equipment. Children’s climbing takes place every Tuesday from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. in Hopfgarten. Previous experience is not required and full equipment is provided.
We look forward to seeing all little ones at home with us ... in the Stanglwirt!
