Stefan Koubek, is, in spite of his farewell ATP party the evening before, on top form: 'It's brilliant. I'm having so much fun that I am throwing my all at winning this title at least! But my partner is strong too, almost my insurance …“. (Note: his doubles' partner was Generali Managing Director Dr. Peter Thirring.)

Ski star Maria Riesch - named by Kitz tournament director Alex Antonitsch, who was playing too of course, as the 'Sharapova of Kitz' - was clearly having fun with her doubles partner Barbara Schett: 'It was wonderful playing here in the Stanglwirt, even though I'm a little out of practice. But the weather made up for it … fantastic.“ The 'tennisnet.com Open' supports APT (Austrian Professional Tennis) and also Austria's up and coming tennis players.
