Immerse yourself in pre-Christmas customs and Tyrolean traditions: At the traditional Stanglwirt Christmas fair, visitors can experience Christmas as in days gone by every Wednesday during Advent. With culinary delicacies, Tyrolean handicraft and contemplative carols

"Rustic and real, is how we want to feel"
Visitors to the traditional Christmas fair at the Stanglwirt get to see Christmas as in the olden days. Traditionally, St. Nicholas and his helpers will pay a visit to the Stanglwirt on 7 December, taking with them some surprises for the little ones. Things get particularly quaint on 14 and 21 December, when according to old tradition the wassailers, dressed up as shepherds, ring in Christmas time with Tyrolean carols and readings. As is right and proper for a Tyrolean Christmas fair, the Stanglwirt Christmas fair also offers culinary delicacies such as yeast dumplings and Bavarian doughnuts – perfect for feasting at the open fire accompanied by contemplative carols. The event is supplemented by rural, peasant handicraft by Tyrolean exhibitors and a children's programme with pony riding and story telling.
