Wladimir Klitschko – 'I'll bring Haye back to earth!'
A little more than three weeks before the eagerly anticipated boxing title unification fight on 2nd July in Hamburg heavy-weight world champion Wladimir Klitschko trained once again here with us in the Stanglwirt. The fight in Hamburg SV's football stadium against WBA world champion David Haye has already started ahead of time with a form of "psychological warfare".
However Klitschko isn't getting worked up about the whole affair in his now customary environs for his fight preparations. "For me the training camp in the Stanglwirt has become part of my routine before a world championship fight. And it is in this routine that victory lies", he proclaimed loudly at the press conference. He is already excited and looking forward to the fight in the football stadium. "Being excited always makes me fight even better." Haye, who refused to shake the man from the Ukraine's hand at the joint press conference, provided additional frenetic incitement for the duel. The Englishman has a t-shirt which depicts him holding Klitschko's torn-off head in his hands. Klitschko's responded verbally; his response to the matter will be at the start of July in the boxing ring. " I'll bring Haye back to earth and teach him some manners. Boxing is a gentlemen's sport whose roots lie in England. Who knows what has got into Haye. He has lost all decency."
After refusing to shake hands, the t-shirt affair was the second "no-go" from his opponent . In sporting terms however Klitschko does not underestimate Haye. "I expect the best Haye of all time. The fight will be the biggest opportunity in his life. But I won't give him any opportunity", he pledged.
We wish our friend of many years & regular guest Wladimir lots of luck & success for the fight and are keeping our fingers tightly crossed!
