What a weekend! In glorious sunshine and in the best of company , we were delighted to host the 19th Stanglwirt Golf Trophy – a sporting highlight that provided unforgettable moments not only on the green but also off the course.
Around 80 participants – including numerous regulars, dear friends and many new faces – gathered as early as Thursday for a warm-up session on our driving range, where golf pro Ulf Wendling was on hand to offer valuable tips and lend an ear to good conversation. During a warm welcome with light refreshments and drinks, everyone laughed together, chatted about the game and built up their anticipation for the tournament. The evening drew to a relaxed close with musical accompaniment from the Jukeboxbrothers at our hotel bar ‘auf der Tenne’.
On Friday, it was time to get down to business: on the beautifully maintained Wilder Kaiser golf course in Ellmau , we teed off from holes 1 and 10 for an exciting tournament in glorious sunshine. Refreshments were well catered for – with fine delicacies as well as refreshing snacks and drinks. A particular highlight was the wine provided by winemaker Helmut Preisinger, whose fine wines treated the players to an extra treat.
In the evening, the awards ceremony took place in our atmospheric hotel bar – featuring fantastic prizes from our valued partners. The atmosphere was lively and warm, accompanied by plenty of applause, cheerful conversation and genuine delight at the impressive performances of all the participants. Afterwards, the celebrations continued at the Stangl Alm with a fine dinner and musical entertainment provided by Lois Manzl. The event drew to a fitting close with a cheerful get-together with SASA – back ‘on the threshing floor’.
